Your contributions have enabled Reut Sderot to maintain and expand their vital community services during these challenging times. In September and October, your generosity helped fuel a remarkable array of activities that brought light and joy to various segments of the Sderot community.
Despite the somber anniversary of October 7th, the spirit of Sderot remained unbroken. Through Reut Sderot’s initiatives, thousands gathered to celebrate Simchat Torah across the city. Your support helped create family-friendly environments in local synagogues, complete with activities for children and live music that lifted spirits during difficult times.
Your donations have particularly touched the lives of Sderot’s elderly population. At the senior club, birthday celebrations brought moments of joy with special refreshments and activities. These gatherings serve as crucial touchpoints for our elderly community members, many of whom face the daily challenges of living in a rocket-prone area.
The impact extends to the younger generation too. The Lapidot school, which combines national service with Torah study, welcomed 25 young women this year. A special Bar Mitzvah workshop at the Cave of the Patriarchs provided 13-year-olds with an unforgettable experience, while youth programs kicked off with engaging social activities.
