Thanks to your incredible generosity, we were able to bring comfort and support to two young IDF widows whose husbands made the ultimate sacrifice defending Israel in Gaza. Your donations have helped Divote provide essential support for their precious little ones during this heartbreaking time.
This is the impact your kindness has made:
Through Israel 365, we were able to provide financial support to Hadar Knoller, whose husband Nadav Elchanan z”l was just 30 when he fell in battle serving as a reservist in Gaza. Nadav, who served in Battalion 121 of the Eighth Brigade, was known for his incredible warmth and ability to bring people together. In a bittersweet turn that touches all our hearts, Hadar gave birth to their baby after his passing. Your support has helped provide essential items for their newborn, bringing some comfort during this difficult time.
Your generosity also enabled us to help Racheli Deri, who lost her beloved husband Saadia Yaakov z”l in Gaza. Saadia, also 27, rushed to serve immediately when the war broke out. A dedicated student pursuing both rabbinical studies and a teaching degree, he left behind Racheli and their two precious toddlers, ages one and two. As his mother Laly shared, Saadia “loved this people, loved the Torah and the land, and fought for it.”
Both Hadar and Racheli were extremely grateful for your support. You’ve helped provide not just financial assistance, but dignity and comfort to these remarkable women who now face the enormous challenge of raising their children without their husbands.
Your compassion and generosity have made a real difference in the lives of these families who have sacrificed so much for Am Yisrael. Thank you for standing with Israel’s heroes and their loved ones during this difficult time.
