Before Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, we asked you to help make sure families in Israel could celebrate with food on their tables.
You did.
Together, you gave $58,000.
Your support meant that in the days before the holiday, 1,000 large food packages were delivered directly to families in need. Each package included 30 kilos of fresh produce, along with dry goods, eggs, poultry, fish, and other holiday essentials.
For families already struggling to afford groceries, that meant more than having food delivered to the door. It meant they could prepare for Rosh Hashanah without worrying about how they would afford a holiday meal.
You Also Gave People a Place at the Table
Rosh Hashanah is a time when families and communities gather around the table together. For someone facing the holiday alone, that can make the loneliness feel even heavier.
Your support helped make sure more than 150 people did not have to spend the first night of Rosh Hashanah that way.
They had a place to sit, a full holiday meal, and people to celebrate with. They could welcome the new year with dignity, joy, and a sense that they belonged.

The holiday is over. The need isn’t. Nearly 27% of Israeli families live with food insecurity, and many of the families who needed help before Rosh Hashanah still struggle to keep enough food in the refrigerator.
