Tree Planting in Zekharia

Hi Friends!

Rabbi Tuly Weisz spent the day with Benny in Zechariah , planting trees and flowers and beautifying this community.

There is an ancient tradition dating back hundreds of years that the Prophet Zechariah  is actually buried in this very spot!

The prophet Zechariah , in chapter 8, speaks beautiful words about the future of the Land and the People of Israel. These ancient prophecies are coming true today before our very eyes!

“Thus said Hashem: I have returned to Tzion, and I will dwell in Yerushalayim. Yerushalayim will be called the City of Faithfulness, and the mount of the lord of Hosts the Holy Mount…There shall yet be old men and women in the squares of Yerushalayim…and the squares of the city shall be crowded with boys and girls playing in the squares…The vine shall produce its fruit, the ground shall produce its yield, and the skies shall provide their moisture. I will bestow all these things upon the remnant of this people” (Zechariah 8).

Even more notably, the prophet spoke of a future time in which Jews and Non-Jews would be working in partnership in fulfilling the word of God!

“The many people and the multitudes of nations shall come to seek the lord of hosts in Yerushalayim and to entreat the favor of Hashem. Thus said the lord of Hosts: In those days, ten men from nations of every tongue will take hold- they will take hold of every Yehudi by a corner of his cloak and say, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that Hashem is with you” (Zechariah 8:22-23).

These miraculous verses are not lost in us. What an honor and privilege it is to be able to carry out the words of the prophets of Israel! Israel365 is humbled to be able to plant trees, flowers, and vines, donated by Non-Jews, lovers of Israel and Zion from around the world! Thousands of years ago, the Prophet Zechariah promised that this day would come. What a miracle that we are living in a time when we can witness these words come to life.

Thank you to all of the generous donors who believe in our mission and are enabling us to fulfill the ancient promises of the prophets of Israel. Get involved and join us on this holy mission

Dancing Through Life

Binyamin had a smile that lit up the room and a personality that brought joy to all who knew him. He was a happy young man who loved to dance. Though we are broken over his loss, we realized that the only way to properly honor him was to bring joy to others – and party like only Binyamin knew how!
