Imagine waking up in a home with peeling walls, broken shutters that block out sunlight, and unsafe fixtures that turn daily tasks into risks. For five Holocaust survivors living in poverty, this was their reality—until compassionate supporters like you stepped in to make a difference.
In December 2024, thanks to your generosity, Tenufa Bakehila completed vital renovations that transformed these survivors’ homes across Bat Yam, Petach Tikva, and Jerusalem. These renovations were more than cosmetic. They addressed critical safety and hygiene concerns—spackling and painting deteriorating walls, repairing crooked flooring, replacing broken fixtures, and fixing shutters that had left rooms in constant darkness. In many cases, outdated bathrooms were upgraded with safer, functional features, and kitchens were equipped to feel more like home.
For Joseph*, Sara, Michal, and others, the impact is profound. They no longer feel burdened by living conditions that diminish their daily quality of life. Instead, they wake up in brighter, safer spaces that bring them a renewed sense of dignity. As Elana, another survivor, expressed, the small but thoughtful changes restored comfort she had not experienced in years.
This transformation was possible because of you. When you contribute, you don’t just help repair walls or replace broken tiles—you bring hope, light, and a renewed sense of belonging to people who deserve to live their later years with peace and security. These survivors have endured unimaginable hardship, and your kindness ensures they do not feel forgotten.
With every home repaired, you provide warmth, safety, and most importantly, the reminder that someone cares. Thank you for helping us restore dignity, one home at a time. Because of you, Tenufa Bakehila can continue this life-changing mission and ensure that more survivors live their final chapters with the respect they deserve.
Let’s keep building brighter futures together.
