Even during war, Israel is still growing

At a time when Israel is facing war, uncertainty, and daily challenges, something remarkable is still happening on a small plot of land in the heartland.

Because of you, the work of growing Israel continues.

The forest project in Ayyir Hashachar has entered an exciting new stage, and the land is already showing signs of life.

A Major New Milestone

Since our last update, planting has accelerated.

In February, 6,000 seeds were prepared as nutrient-rich seed balls and placed across the forest plot.

In early March, another 15,500 seeds were added.

That means more than 21,500 seeds are now in the ground.

These include jujube, pomegranate, carob, fig, prickly pear, moringa, and black locust, species chosen for their ability to thrive in Israel’s dry climate and help rebuild healthy soil.

Over the coming months, many more seeds will be planted, bringing the total toward the long-term goal of tens of thousands of trees and support plants growing together to form a dense, resilient forest.

The Land Is Already Responding

Even before the forest canopy forms, the land itself is beginning to change.

Hundreds of Washingtonia palm seedlings have appeared naturally across the plot, an encouraging sign that the mulch layer is holding moisture and restoring life to the soil.

Even more remarkably, mycelial networks and mushrooms have begun appearing beneath the surface. These fungi are essential to healthy ecosystems and are rarely seen in nearby deforested land.

In other words, the soil is coming back to life.

And when the soil heals, forests follow.

Thank You for Helping Israel Grow

At a time when so much of the news focuses on destruction, your generosity is doing something extraordinary.

You are helping plant life in the Land of Israel.

Seeds are going into the ground. Soil is being restored. And a forest is beginning to grow in the hills of our ancestors.

This work continues because people like you believe in building the future of Israel.

If you would like to help this forest continue to grow, you can plant another tree and be part of restoring the Land of Israel.
