Bringing Light to Israel’s Darkest Moments — Thanks to You

At the Levenstein Rehabilitation Center and beyond, we’ve been bringing light into some of Israel’s darkest places — and it’s all because of your generosity.

The help might look simple: a LEGO set, a graphics board, a listening ear. But for the children and families living through pain, trauma, and uncertainty, these gestures are nothing short of life-changing.

People like Rabbi Shlomo Klughaupt quietly walk the hospital halls, offering care and compassion where it’s needed most. Behind each small act lies a story of hope restored.

Take Daniel, a teenage boy whose life changed in a split second when a judo class accident left him paralyzed. Angry and despondent, he had shut down. But when his mother mentioned that a Star Wars LEGO set could lift his spirits, you made it happen. Daniel spent hours building, creating, and smiling again — a moment of healing in the midst of despair.

Then there’s Rutie, a young girl recovering from a devastating fall. Her mother, divorced and struggling to make ends meet, worried as Ruthie became isolated, spending her days alone in her hospital room. When Ruthie asked for a digital graphics board so she could draw and express herself again, you gave her that gift — and with it, a reason to hope.

These may seem like small things, but to the families living this reality, they’re everything. They are reminders that someone cares — that even in hardship, light still shines in Israel.

Your kindness makes all this possible. And as the challenges in Israel grow, your continued support ensures that more children and families like Daniel and Ruthie find comfort, dignity, and hope when they need it most.

Thank you for being the light that keeps shining — and for bringing hope to those who need it most.
If you’re able, please consider giving again today so we can continue this sacred work. Every act of kindness truly changes a life.
