You Showed Up for Them. Here’s What Happened.

When we launched the Beit Daniel campaign, we asked you to stand behind young men who had already stood up for something most of us only read about in our Bibles.

You did.

Donors from across America and beyond gave $12,781.56 to support Beit Daniel, the Lev LaChayal Lone Soldier Residence in Ramat Beit Shemesh. Every dollar goes directly to the home these soldiers come back to after weeks at the front.

Meet One of the Soldiers Your Gift Supports.

He grew up in New York. Joining the IDF was never part of the plan.

Then he came to Israel for yeshiva. Eight days in, a terrorist stabbed him in the Old City. Something changed. He started making packages for IDF units up north and down south. He realized every Jew is supposed to give to their country. So he did.

He enlisted. He fought in Lebanon as a drone pilot. Two weeks in the field without changing his clothes, eating cans of tuna and chickpeas. He saw terrorism with his own eyes.

When he came home, everything waited.

“We come home after two weeks, three weeks in war, and the fridge is just full with food. We come home to a gorgeous, nice, comfy home. I love this place.”

His father passed away a few years ago. His mother flies in when she can. At Beit Daniel, he is never alone. These guys are his brothers. He is 20 years old. He is getting engaged soon. He builds a life in the land he chose to defend.

Someone asked him how he made the decision to leave a comfortable life in America and put his life on the line.

“If it’s not me, then who will go?”

Your gift is part of why he can ask that question and mean it.

This Is What Your $12,781.56 Provides.

These young men come from New York, London, and Melbourne. They leave their families, their countries, and everything familiar to enlist in the IDF. When they finish a week at the front, they have no parents nearby, no family table to return to, no one to call who is close enough to come.

Beit Daniel changes that. Your gift helps provide:

  • A private room and bed for a soldier with nowhere else to go
  • A dining hall where soldiers gather for Shabbat meals together
  • Counseling and emotional support from trained professionals
  • Floor lounges stocked with food, coffee, and basic essentials
  • Rabbis and mentors who know every soldier personally

The Need Continues.

60 soldiers call Beit Daniel home today. 28 more are on their way. Every month, young men like him come back from the front and need somewhere to land. Your gift got us here. Continuing your support makes sure the door stays open for every soldier who comes after him. To continue supporting Beit Daniel, click here.

Thank you. Not just for giving once. But for showing up for these soldiers every time they come home.
