Thanks to your donations, we were able to partner with Tenufa Bakehila—an Israeli nonprofit with decades of experience repairing homes for the elderly and poor. Together, we reached six Holocaust survivors whose living conditions were unsafe, undignified, and in desperate need of attention.
Because of you, these survivors now have safe, livable homes.
Here’s what your generosity made possible:
- Miriam*, in Jerusalem, no longer has to live with pigeons flying into her home. Your support installed proper window screens and gave her apartment a fresh coat of paint, restoring her peace and privacy.
- David, also in Jerusalem, was surrounded by mold, broken plumbing, and faulty lighting. You made it possible to fix his walls, replace the lights, install working faucets, and return warmth and safety to his home.
- In Rishon Le’Tzion, Esther had been navigating steep stairs without any railing to steady herself. Now, thanks to you, a sturdy handrail gives her the confidence to come and go without fear.
- Tova, in Kiryat Gat, lived in a home with cracked walls and poor lighting. With your help, her apartment is now clean, bright, and fully repaired.
- In the same building, Moshe was using a completely rotted kitchen. Because of you, he now cooks in a safe, usable space that gives him back his independence.
- And in Hatzor, Rachel lived in near-total darkness with unsafe electric wiring. Your gift brought her light, safety, and a home she can finally feel at ease in.
These are not just repairs. They are transformations. They are reminders to these survivors that they are not forgotten—that people across the world care deeply about their dignity and well-being.
